The mobster's mistress.

Mob Blog: Hell Hath No Fury, October 16, 2012

[dcs_p]My niece, Mia, barges into my office. She’s just driven across the state to get to me, and I don’t know how she managed because she’s hysterical. “It’s Nelson,” she sobs.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]Hmm. Nelson is the new Mr. Wonderful, her fiancee of a few short weeks. In fact, Angie and I attended the engagement party last month. Nelson seemed okay, but I was skeptical due to Mia’s track record with men. Nelson is the sales manager at the Chevy dealer she works for in Tampa. Turns out, Mia caught him in the storage closet with a sexy little co-worker. The girl was on her knees … Need I say more?[/dcs_p][dcs_p]”I want you to send someone to beat him up,” Mia announces.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]”Honey, I can’t do that,” I tell her.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]”You can too,” she says. “You can make someone disappear if you want to. I know you can.”[/dcs_p][dcs_p]Jeez. Mia wants me to whack a guy for getting a little action. Nelson’s probably a jerk, but I guess he’s a bit of an opportunist too. I can’t even blame the guy. “Honey,” I say, “I think you’ve been misinformed about my character.”[/dcs_p][dcs_p]Patricia Bellomo is the author of the crime thrillers, Stella di Mare, and Louie Morelli’s Daughter.  She writes about mobsters and millionaires in South Florida and New Orleans.
