[dcs_p]The Republican’s are coming. Of course,with Isaac forming in the Caribbean, they may not come at all. Not that it makes much difference to me. I’m clear on the other side of the state, and I’m not particularly partisan. I learned a long time ago that they all take money. I have friends in Tallahassee. I have friends in Washington and Baton Rouge and Mobile. What I don’t have is ideals or ethics, and I’m amused by the naivete of the youth, who think politicians are pure and public service noble. Angie’s nephew, who spent a decade developing a social conscience in a university that taught him how to make a fool of himself, scorns me for being in the top one-percent, the defiled money-class. I might feel bad if I had come by it honestly.
