[dcs_p]The week started with gusty winds and rain, but now the sun is shining and the surf is calm. The sea is smooth as glass, and Victor and I have decided to blow off the rest of the day. We take his Chris Craft south on the Intracoastal, docking at the Sands Patio Bar in Pompano. It’s barely noon and the place is already crowded. We’ve got some entertainment too; a drunk, frizzy-haired blond in a thong.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]Victor and I don’t mind thongs, but this broad is too old and too thin to be wearing one. Plus, she’s not very toned–her skin sagging with age and sun abuse. She’s putting on a little show, dancing about the patio and making sure everybody gets a peek. Unfortunately, she’s not much to look at. In fact, she’s a drunken nuisance. Millionaire Mobster Blog: Fort Lauderdale Air Show, April 28, 2012
[dcs_p]Took the Stella di Mare south today for the Fort Lauderdale Air Show. I’ve got a full crew on board, plus the entire family. It rained hard last night and early this morning, and the skies have been threatening all day, but that didn’t stop me and hundreds of other boaters from turning out for the show. We dropped anchor off shore, watching the crowds gathering on the beach. Plenty of eye candy here. Victor and my son, Tony, keep trading off on the binoculars.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]I’m sitting on deck with my grandson perched on my knee. He’s fascinated by the F-16 fighter jets, tells me he wants to fly airplanes someday. I look up and catch Angie watching me with a little smile. “Louie,” she says, “I never understood how a man who is so tender with his family could do the things you do.”[/dcs_p][dcs_p]Since we don’t talk about those things, I’m surprised by her comment. [dcs_p]I’m getting a kick out of a story in yesterday’s Sun Sentinel. The Broward County Sheriff’s office has suspended a deputy for frequenting Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach strip clubs while on duty. Full nudity too. Hmm. It appears the energetic deputy worked the night shift, spending ten to eleven hours a week in the clubs, favoring The Booby Trap in Pompano. Showed up every night in his uniform. It took his superiors quite a while to catch on, but patrons saw and reported him. The girls knew him as a regular. But then, it looks like one agent ruined it for his pals by arguing over a $47 fee. You’ve got to be kidding me. Don’t we pay civil servants enough to cover their recreational habits? A $47 piece of ass: Of course, it is Colombia we’re talking about, and it sounds like the little gal spent the night. Hmm. Jesting aside, this Secret Service sex is nothing new. [dcs_p]Drove up to Palm Beach this morning for a meeting with a big politician. If I told you his name, you’d know who he is. Suffice it to say, he’s a glad-handling pol with a respectable image. I happen to know that he likes to rendezvous with young men in the back of taxpayer funded limousines, but that’s another story. Twenty years ago I helped put this man on the path to success, but I haven’t heard from him in quite a while. But he asked for me, holding the meeting at a tony Palm Beach house that belongs to a rich benefactor. A British butler served us breakfast on the terrace.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]It turns out he’s in trouble. It’s all related to his propensity for young men, a brewing scandal. He wants me to broker a hit. Putting big money on the table for it too. “Times have changed,” I tell him. “I’m not in that business anymore.” He gives me a look, disbelieving. “Don’t bullshit me, Lou,” he says. “I know better.”[/dcs_p][dcs_p]

[dcs_p]Easter egg hunt with the grandkids today so I’m on good behavior. Overall, it’s going to be a family weekend. But the damndest things can happen. This morning I stopped at the flower market to buy Angie an Easter lily, and the young woman waiting on me wanted to show me her Easter eggs. Of course, she does know Victor, so it’s not like I’m a complete stranger. The flower girl couldn’t wait to tell me that she’s had her implants redone. As if I couldn’t tell. She wasn’t wearing much, either. That’s one of the benefits of living in South Florida. [/dcs_p]
