Mob Blog: March Madness In Miami, March 15, 2012
[dcs_p]It’s March Madness in Miami. Only this madness has nothing to do with basketball or brackets. It’s more about the rackets–the Russian rackets and a couple of big name rappers who showed up at my nightclub in Miami last night.[/dcs_p][dcs_p]Actually, I wasn’t even in attendance, but my manager and business partner, Franco, tells me that the Russians aren’t the only ones who dig Dom Perignon. Franco had a big-name rapper show up last evening with an entourage of fifty. First thing he requested was ten bottles of the bubbly. Franco said everything was fine until the rapper’s chick started making eyes with a Cuban dealer on the dance floor. Next thing you know, fists were flying. Out came the Sig; fortunately, nobody was shot and Miami PD hauled off the offenders.[/dcs_p]Franco said the club was so jammed, half the patrons didn’t realize there was a scuffle. The rapper smacked his chick and ordered more Dom and a bottle of Louis X111 cognac. So Franco wasn’t complaining. All he said was, “Lou, you missed a good show. It’s March madness at Franco’s.”[/dcs_p][dcs_p]March Madness was written from the point of view of Patricia Bellomo’s mobster, Louie Morelli. Bellomo writes about mobsters and millionaires in South Florida. Her books are available on Amazon. com and Barnes and Noble. In print and digital formats.
Patricia, I used to go into Luciano’s alot. I am a good friend of Mike and Judy Foster and have gotten your last 2 books. But lucky me I now live in South Florida. (Good setting for a book.) I was just thinking of you the other night and was wondering when your next one will be published. Good Stuff! Maybe I will see you again when I come up for a few weeks. Until then, please keep me posted. I’m glad I finally got in touch with you. Have a great week end.
