La Famiglia

La Famiglia, October 13, 2011

[dcs_p]It’s family hour at my house, and we’re doing dinner on the terrace. The sun’s fading from the sky, and the first hint of the moon begins to rise above the Atlantic. Angie’s got some of her family in from Tampa, and Victor and my mother-in-law are putting together a feast, filet and shrimp and pasta. Michael’s got a new girl–with the same kind of curves as the one he got rid of–but, hopefully, not the same habits. She’s talking to Angie, trying to impress her, but she lets it slip that she has a three year old boy with a man she never married, and now my wife’s not too keen her. I tell her to chill, they’re just dating, and she says, “He takes after you. He makes mistakes with women.”[/dcs_p][dcs_p]La Famiglia was written from the point of view of PAtricia Bellomo’s main character, mobster Louie Morelli. Bellomo’s books include Stella di Mare and Louie Morelli’s Daughter. Books available on Amazon.com, B&N, and on all e-readers.
